Really good list of links: |
The "BARC Boys" site is growing by the week - loaded with great material . Take a look at www.barcboys.com.
Rick Jones' OLDCLASSICCAR is incredible. He has everything you can imagine including caravans (campers), postcards, garages, and more that I haven't gotten to yet. Some good writing, too.
Tam McPartland's site has a large collection of pictures at Tam's Old Race Car Site and he adds to it constantly. I view it as kind of the Granddaddy of the amateur race photography sites and a valuable resource for folks interested in US sports car racing history.
The Museum of British Road Transport in Coventry is the best museum of its type in the world. They're recently put up a new site that I find a bit difficult to navigate but that has some terrific "exhibits". It's well worth a visit -keep at it until you find the good stuff.
Pete Becker runs Vintage Race Prep specializing in vintage Formula 3 cars.
Hard core enthusiasts will like this one. Garish web site, but Classic Motor Monthly is a superb publication.
Atlas F1 is simply the best source for modern and historic Formula 1 information and photos.
Nick England does an outstanding job of documenting the history of Virginia International Raceway (VIR) at www.virhistory.com.
Cliff Reuter is quickly building his Etceterini site - it takes a while to load some of the pages but they're worth the wait. Bandinis to SWB Ferraris to A6GCS Masers - they're all here. Be careful not to drool on your keyboard.
A friendly forum devoted to British
cars.
If you have any interest in old IBM computers, you might want to look at my other site here.
