Humorous and unusual but all for real

The State decided that the entrance to this business needed "improvements". The owner didn't agree but had no choice but to go along with it. He put the sign up to help customers avoid the thing since they kept hitting it. The business had been there for ages and they were used to the entrance as it was. Snow plows eventually solved the problem. Thanks to Brad and Carl for the background on this. This is one of a series of signs put up by a fellow who had once created a short oval race track on his property. He held events for a while until the neighbors made things too hot for him. Part of the track is visible in this picture. Thirty years after the track's demise, he still hadn't made peace with the local residents, and didn't really care.
All share the same road, same direction. Fair warning. Welcome to Maine - Vacationland!
Why didn't I think of this?

Apparently Rolls Royce has finally gained some respect. BMW's punctuation could use some work. Good grief !

The sign was displayed at Lime Rock at the vintage events over Labor day weekend a year ago.

Yes, it's for real. Pebble Beach, eat your heart out...

Sorry for the poor picture quality. Yes, it says what you think it says. Newcastle, Maine Yeah, it's a good ol' MG BJ8
An exercise in "product placement." And hello to you, too, sir. I wonder if you realize that you were just doing 35.3 in a 35 zone? I'd call that being pretty reckless, sir......please step out of the car. (Isn't this just asking for it?)
You don't suppose.....? And what are Joyce's hours?

[Thanks to Duncan Johnson]

Location, location, location. It had better be anchored.

[Thanks yet again to Duncan Johnson]

Dear Boss: The railroad told us to leave it where it'll be noticed. I set 'er up where they can't miss her.
